Our office is open for dental emergencies only as of 5/4/2020.

As per the recommendation of the American Dental Association, we will see patients on an emergency and case-by-case basis if they are not showing symptoms such as fever, persistent coughing, or shortness of breath (https://www.ada.org/en). All non-emergency and elective dental services are temporarily suspended until further notice.

Please be understanding with our new check-in policies as they are in place for your safety and the safety of our community:

Patients will be asked to wait in their vehicles after completing the check-in process to limit the number of people in the office at one time. Please complete necessary registration and consent on your phone prior to your check-in. Please send us a text message when you check-in and you’ll receive a call or text when the doctor is ready to see you.

Your temperature will be taken upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, will be rescheduled.
Adults, please only bring yourself to your appointment.
If you are a parent bringing your child, please only bring the child with the scheduled appointment.

Updated COVID-19 Closure Information As Of : 3/30/2020

Hudson Dental Center has had to temporarily close our practice due to the evolving pandemic and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s Executive Order until further notice. This executive order requires all dental offices in New Jersey to suspend care with the exception of emergency cases that present as life threatening.

The purpose of this closure, consistent with the statewide stay at home order, is to protect our patients, team, families and community from virus exposure. It also preserves personal protective equipment (PPE) which is in extreme short supply. PPE is vital to our front-line healthcare professionals who are tirelessly treating COVID-19 across the country.

Emerging information regarding COVID-19 is dynamic and updated regularly. The most reliable source of information and newest recommendations are found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/.

We encourage everyone in our community to take steps to minimize the spread of the virus as directed by the CDC and State of New Jersey.

If you have an appointment scheduled within the closed timeframe, our office will be in touch to reschedule your appointment. In the event of a true life threatening dental emergency and you require emergency dental care, please call our office at 201-662-1922 and press option 8, you will be directed to the dentist on call.

In an interest of public safety, and maintaining accessibility to emergency services, Hudson Dental Center will be postponing any non-urgent, non-emergency care appointments for a period of two weeks effective Monday, March 16, 2020.

Our office will remain open with limited staff members to answer calls and treat patients with urgent dental care needs which cannot be postponed. For emergency appointments, we will require you to schedule an appointment for facetime or video screening and upon assessment, either Dr Payal will prescribe medications or we will schedule an appointment to come in for a treatment. At this time we are not accepting walk-in patients.

We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time. In addition to delaying non-urgent care appointments, we will also be implementing the following changes recommended by the American Dental Association, in an attempt to limit the spread of this novel virus:

• Enhanced screening of patients, including travel history, and histories of recent illness
• Temperature readings will be taken as part of our routine assessment of all urgent care patients
• Patients will be required to rinse with a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution prior to dental procedures
• High volume suctions will be used to help reduce the spread of aerosols
• Safe practice measures currently in place will be continued. These include universal precautions, the use of personal protective equipment, as well frequent cleaning and disinfecting of our practice environment, including the reception area.

If you are asked to come to our office, please come alone so there is no crowding in waiting room.
